The League organizing committee has agreed that the following will form a basis of 2010 summer season.

The USSL is about the development of players!
League begins Date: April 2010
League ending Date: July 2010
The USSL league will run straight through on every weekend including long weekends until end of July
(one game every long weekend and Tournament)
Any Clubs or teams wishing to enter any tournaments after this time are doing so on their own.
May long weekend tournament: if the tournament committee agrees to host the USSL then all teams will travel to Vancouver and have regular league play, If hosting committee disagrees then the USSL will have regular scheduled games within the Surrey Parks.
MSA is providing a Free of Cost Tournament to all teams of the USSL after the end of July and will be posted on the Web Site for a confirmed date.
Team Registration for the USSL:

Each Club is to have their teams registered with the USSL scheduler by April 1st/2010 in writing (email preferred).
Please include team nickname, coach’s name, coach’s email and team’s playing level (advance, good or beginners). , this includes all Payments in Full.
Any club or team failing to do so by this time will not be on the first 4 week playing schedule.
A 4 week Schedule will be posted on the USSL website for all teams that have entered before the March 31st deadline. All clubs failing to meet the deadline will have their teams entered on the May 10th schedule. Please remember that the posting is a 4-week period and new teams will only be accepted if there is bye in that age grouping.

Club Bonds
Each Club is required to place a Club bond for all its teams. The bond is to protect teams from NO SHOWS, or teams not playing scheduled games. Each Club will have a fine of 100.00 per team that fails to show up during its scheduled game, the fine will be deducted from the Club bond. Any team doing a second infraction will result in a 200.00 fine, and the third infraction will result in the suspension of the team from league play. The team that is scheduled to play must be the one that shows up to the field, no subbing teams, this will also be considered a NO Show.
Cost of the Bond will be placed at $500.00 per club this bond must be sent to the USSL and is refunded after the season minus any infractions.
Player Transfer Rule:
A player transfer fee of 25.00 will be charged.
A Whole team transfer fee of 100.00 will be charged.
One Transfer of a team of player allowed within any given season.
All transfer fees are the same as the Indo Canadian Soccer Association guidelines.
For games, sizes of soccer balls to be used
U6 to U8 - Size 3
(may use size 4 for U8, if both coaches agree on game day)
U9 to U12 - Size 4
Parents on the Field

Each coach is responsible for his or her parent’s behavior and attendance on the field. The rules of the USSL only allow for a coach, assistant coach and 1 field linesman from each team to be present on the turf fields. If a Coach fails to remove his or her parents off the field and have them behind the fence surrounding the turf field that team will be be fined $50.00. This fine will be deducted for their Club bond. The field marshal may ask to have parents removed or issue a fine.

Who can play in the USSL?
The USSL gladly welcomes anyone of any background to join. Simply put it's the same as winter soccer.
Any Gold player playing in Silver will be asked by the league to have that player move to a Gold team.
Players must play only on their Club team. If a club does not have a higher calibre team in the same age, the player may be asked to play for the next age group.
Definition of Club:
A Club is anyone of the affiliated member Clubs that have formed the USSL; a team wishing to join the USSL can join through any one of the 12 designated clubs below, based on the individual clubs membership fee structure.
A team joining an affiliated USSL member Club, will be deemed responsible to provide that team with training fields, uniforms, balls and any other related team costs. (USSL will provide League game day field time as determined by their schedulers) clubs.
Game Structure for each age group:
Coaches and Clubs please remember that the goal of the USSL is to develop players and increase the number of touches each player has during a game. The USSL is working hard to follow guide lines set by BC Soccer.
Please remember to enter your team in the same age as you were in the winter program, only exception is U11 girls teams during the winter soccer will play U12 silver or gold.
A Player is allowed to play 1 game, for 1 team for the USSL league game.
Team roster is to be provided before the start of each game: The roster must be signed by the coach and the referee will enter the score to help the league better schedule your matches. No record of points GF or GA will be kept.
Exceptions of adding a player to your team roster:
Must be agreed by both coaches, both coaches must sign the roster.
Coach can only add a player to the roster if he or she is short of players.
Paper work not submitted will result in a $100.00 fine for the team.
AGE Groups applicable for the USSL 2010 season:
Girls Ages of U6 to U12 Gold, Silver & Bronze
Boys Ages of U6 to U12 Gold, Silver & Bronze

USSL Playing Format for 2010
- U6 play format will be 5+goalie (6v6)
- U7 play format will be 5+goalie (6v6)
- U8 play format will be 6+goalie (7v7)
- U9 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8)
- U10 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8)
- U11 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8)
- U12 play format will be 10+goalie (11v11)
Game day cancellation policy:
Team not having enough players for game
Team coach must inform their league representative of game cancellation request 7 days prior to game; this only applies to a non-soccer related event that players must attend i.e. weddings, family event, etc.
Player shortages due to sickness is an exception to this rule
U6 play format will be 5+goalie (6v6), not 3+goalie
U7 play format will be 5+goalie (6v6), not 4+goalie
for above, 2 equal teams from one single mini team, will not be required now, due to +10 kids existing on certain mini teams ....................above changes will accommodate all clubs accordingly.
U8 play format will be 6+goalie (7v7), no change
U9 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8), no change
U10 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8), no change
U11 play format will be 7+goalie (8v8), no change
U12 play format will be 10+goalie (11v11), no change
Field Set Up:
Every week One club will be responsible for setting up the fields.
The name of each club and the week they are responsible for lining all fields will be posted on the USSL website:
$500.00 Club fine will be given for any club failing to have the fields lined before the start of and during the weekend’s games. This includes all changes to the field grid from one age group to the next.
Each Club running the field duty for day will be responsible for manning the tent and collecting team rosters report from the referee’s.
Fine must be paid to the USSL before the start of the following weeks game.
A Fair-Play ribbon will be given to coaches, each week to award to an opposing team, player at the end of their game with that team.
Award will be named: "The Hardip Mann Fair-Play Award Ribbon."
All USSL players will receive a USSL T-shirt sometime in May/June half way through the season as a thank you mark of the USSL.
The league will be organizing a Kickin-with-the-Whitecaps game night event, sometime in July 2009, in order for players opportunity to attend and watch live, a Mens' Whitecaps game at Swangaurd Stadium in Burnaby.
